The police had arrested two people, who were later granted bail. The Karnataka High Court had quashed the lower court proceedings on September 13. The petitioner says that ‘the police investigation was not completed. Not all the evidence had come before the court. Therefore the decision of the High Court is wrong. Trespassing into a mosque is a crime. Raising slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ can create communal tension.

Haider Ali has challenged the decision of Karnataka High Court in the Supreme Court. The High Court had on September 13 canceled the proceedings of the Puttur court in Dakshina Kannada district. The police had arrested two people, who were later granted bail. On November 29, the High Court had stayed the action of the lower court. The accused had demanded quashing of the criminal proceedings. The High Court gave him/her relief on 13 September.
