Doctor was not gang raped, Sanjay Roy is the only accused? Shocking update in Kolkata case

New Delhi: A shocking update has emerged in the Kolkata doctor rape and murder case. Sources say that the CBI has denied the gangrape of the doctor. However, nothing has been said officially by the CBI so far. The police had arrested a man named Sanjay Roy in this case. The CBI has denied the gangrape in the case of the death of a doctor in Kolkata last month. According to the NDTV report, CBI sources say that the evidence found so far indicates that only Sanjay Roy was involved in this heinous rape and murder case. Sanjay Roy has already been arrested by the police. This incident took place in Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital. CBI sources said that the investigation is in its final stage. The agency will soon file its charge sheet.

Is CBI under pressure?

The Kolkata High Court had handed over this case to the CBI, overturning the decision of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The CBI is under pressure to take swift action in this case. The Chief Minister herself is under attack from opposition parties and social activists in this case. Last week, she had sought fresh information in this case.

CBI recorded statements of more than 100 people

The CBI has so far recorded the statements of more than 100 people in this case and conducted 10 polygraph tests. Two of these tests are also of the former head of the hospital, Dr. Sandeep Ghosh. Sources said that the CBI has no reason to believe that other people were also involved in this rape and murder. The victim’s body was found in a room of the hospital on the morning of 9 August.
The agency has so far arrested three people in this case, the biggest name among them is Dr. Sandeep Ghosh. he/she resigned from his/her post a few days after the murder.
