Rohit said, ‘he/she plays both spin and fast bowling very well. There is no doubt that he/she will perform well in Test cricket. he/she has the chance now.’ Rohit said about former Team India coach Rahul Dravid and current coach Gautam Gambhir that both have different working styles but he/she has a good rapport with the new coach.

‘This is my understanding with Gambhir’
Rohit said in the press conference, ‘Obviously Rahul bhai, Vikram Rathod and Paras Mhambrey were a different team. We know that the new support staff will bring a different approach. The new coaching members have a different style but there is no problem with that. Mutual understanding is important and my understanding with Gambhir is like this.’ Gambhir took charge of the team in July and the team will play its first Test under his/her tenure. India vs Bangladesh first Test match will be played in Chennai from September 19.
