Diljit Dosanjh got Honey Singh’s support, rapper said – will sing on Lassi and Jaljeera, ban alcohol


There is no doubt that 2024 was a historic year for Diljit Dosanjh. Along with the concerts, his/her films also did wonders. People gave a lot of love to ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ but at the same time he/she was also the target of many people. Along with tremendous success, controversies were also associated with his/her name. he/she also gave advice on songs involving alcohol. But now he/she has got the support of rapper Honey Singh and he/she has said a very funny thing on the songs containing alcohol. Diljit Dosanjh followed the instructions by changing the lyrics of the songs in the concert at many places but also said, ‘If all the states ban alcohol, If we ban consumption, I will never sing about alcohol in my entire life.’ Interestingly, Diljit got advice and support from famous rapper Honey Singh. In a recent interview with India Today, Honey Singh spoke on the states that gave this advice and earned revenue by selling liquor.

Honey Singh supported Diljit Dosanjh

Honey Singh said, ‘They are not closing the liquor shops. Let them make it a dry state and make India a dry country. Then we can discuss all this. In fact, he/she also shared his/her solidarity towards the campaign for an alcohol-free country. Although the statement may seem a bit strange, especially when alcohol is mentioned in his/her songs. By the way, Honey Singh has stopped drinking alcohol.

‘Give up alcohol and sing songs on Lassi’

Honey Singh said, ‘We will definitely participate in this campaign. We will sing a song about lassi, about buttermilk, about jaljeera. Interestingly, when Honey was asked what he/she would do if he/she had to listen again to his/her songs, especially ‘Chaar Bottle Vodka’ and change it, Honey said that the song would be based on just one tune.

Liquor is not limited to Punjab only

The rapper also talked about how references to alcohol have seeped into everyday conversation and are part of the culture in many places. he/she also said that when alcohol is present in parties of so many cultures and communities, it cannot be called just a ‘Punjabi’ thing. he/she said- We go to parties. People are drinking. We go to weddings. People are drinking. It is in the culture, not just in Punjab.
