Diljit Dosanjh Chandigarh Concert: Neither will be able to sing alcohol related songs, nor will children be seen on stage.


Famous Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh is performing live concerts in different cities. Till now we have done programs from Indore to Delhi. Now it is Chandigarh’s turn. But even before this, Chairperson of ‘Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights’, Shipra Bansal, has expressed concern over the safety and well-being of children in such programs. Before Diljit Dosanjh’s Chandigarh concert, Shipra Bansal said, ‘It has come to our notice that the concert During this, children are called on the stage. This sound is harmful for children. Concerts tend to last very late into the night and alcohol is likely to be in supply…alcohol should not be served to children under 18. We have also issued an advisory in view of the concert. It has come to our notice that during Diljit’s last concert, children were called on the stage… sometimes some songs are played which are not good for children.

Concern expressed for children

he/she also said, “Avoid singing songs like ‘Patiala Peg’, ‘5 Tara’ and ‘Kes’. Words promoting alcohol, drugs and violence may have been used in them. These songs influence children at a sensitive age.

Notice was received before Hyderabad concert

Let us tell you that controversies are also being associated with Diljit Dosanjh’s concert. Earlier, objection was raised on the word alcohol in the lyrics of the songs, after which Diljit changed his/her lyrics. he/she is doing ‘Dil-Luminati’ tour in 10 cities. Before his/her Hyderabad show, a notice was received from the Telangana government. In the notice, he/she was advised not to sing songs promoting alcohol, drugs or violence at the event. The notice also warned Diljit not to ‘use children’ during the concert. Apart from this, it was said that loud noise and flashing lights in the concert can be harmful for children.
