Did the chicken or the egg come first? Scientists have found the right answer, now you too can clear the confusion.

Which came first on earth, the chicken or the egg? This is a question whose answer scientists have been searching for for centuries. Everyone has different opinions regarding this. This is a debate that never ends. This question has been confusing people. Everyone gives different arguments regarding this.

Scientists have found the answer to this question. According to science, the answer is egg. Scientists say that eggs came from chickens millions of years ago. Zoology reporter and author of Infinite Life, Jules Howard, says that the first egg is linked to the origin of life. Let us understand what are the arguments of scientists behind this answer.

What is egg funda?

Daily Mail reports (refAccording to ), eggs have been essential to the survival of many species, as they act as life-support capsules that enable genetic diversity. Scientists believe that the earliest eggs were very different from today’s eggs. They were housed by sea creatures such as jellyfish or worms. This means that eggs appeared when animals emerged on land, making it clear that the egg came before the chicken.

the hen came much later

Dr Ellen Mather, a paleontologist at Flinders University, agrees. he/she says that if we look broadly, the answer is eggs, because murres evolved much later. Chickens are believed to have evolved from wild birds that adapted to live near humans.

eggs evolved millions of years ago

Researchers previously believed that chickens were domesticated about 10,000 years ago. But new studies suggest that domestication occurred in Southeast Asia between 1250 BC and 1650 BC. This puts the age of the hen at about 3,500 years. However eggs, especially hard-shelled ones, date back millions of years to the time of the dinosaurs. Dinosaurs laid the first hard-shelled eggs during the Jurassic period.

Dr. Mather argues that if we focus on the original answer to the question, the answer changes. The first chicken probably hatched from an egg laid by a bird that was not a true chicken, known as the red jungle fowl. Thus, while the egg evolved first, the chicken came before the ‘true chicken egg’.

So now what, which came first the chicken or the egg?

So now what, which came first the chicken or the egg?

If the question is which came first, the chicken or the egg, the answer is definitely the egg. The first eggs of any kind evolved about 600 million years ago. The first hard-shelled eggs appeared about 195 million years ago. Even the first bird eggs date back 120 million years. Chickens, meanwhile, emerged only 3,000 years ago. However, the first domestic chicken was born from a hen-forest fowl hybrid parent. This means that the first hen came first, followed by the first hen’s egg.
