New Delhi.Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (
HMSI) has released the sales report for June 2021. In the information sent to the stock exchanges, the company said that in June 2021, its total (domestic + export) 2,34,029 two-wheelers were sold. Whereas, in June 2020, the company’s total (domestic + export) two-wheeler sales were 2,10,879. That is, in comparison to June 2020, there was an increase of 11 percent in the company’s sales in June 2021. However, sales declined in June as compared to April. The company’s total (domestic + exports) sales were 2,83,045 units in April 2021.
The biggest reason for the increase in the sales of Honda 2-Wheeler in the month of June was the end of the lockdown in all the states. Actually, in the early days of May, the lockdown was in force in many states of the country, due to which there was a huge drop in the sales of the company.
