Delhi Traffic Police issued advisory before Holi, roads near Dwarka are closed


Recently, DMRC said that on the occasion of Holi, on March 14, till 2.30 pm, train services will not be available on all lines of Delhi Metro including Airport Express line. After this, general services will start on all lines. In view of the festival of Holi, the Delhi Traffic Police has also issued an advisory, in which they said that the routes have been diverted due to construction work near Dwarka. In such a situation, if you are planning to come and go somewhere in Delhi on the day of Holi or before Holi, then first know about these diverted routes.

Delhi Traffic Police on Tuesday issued an advisory, stating that several roads would be affected for the construction of airport drain extensions. Officials said barricades have also been installed to divert traffic. According to the police, MP Road No. 205 (T-Point Road Number 205 and Sahabad Village Road Crossing to Road No. 205 and Sector-22 Road Crossing) will remain closed.

Traffic has been diverted due to the construction of airport drain extension and this diversion will affect all traffic coming from Sector-21 metro station to Dwarka Court, Sector-1, 7 and 8 Dwarka. Let us tell you, barricades have been installed from T-Point Road Number 205 and Sahabad Village Road Crossing to Road No. 205 and Sector-22 Road Crossing for the ongoing construction work. Which means that trains have been banned from coming here.

Let those who keep coming in Delhi due to some work, tell them, due to this diversion, there is a hopes of heavy traffic situation on Sector-22 Road and Sector-9 Road (from Sector-21 metro station to Dwarka Court and Bagdola village) for at least the next one month. Delhi Traffic Police said that passengers coming from Dwarka Court (Dwarka Sector-1 from Dwarka Sector-1 and Sector-21 metro station towards Kapashera) will have to turn to the right on road number 205 and turn left on Sector-9 Road and then turn to Sector-22 Road on Janki Chowk and go to Sector -21 Metro Station and Kapasheh. Right now all the passengers have been instructed to follow these routes.

According to Delhi Traffic Police, the passengers who are coming from Sector-7 and 8 Dwarka and want to go towards Capshera and Sector-21 metro station, have to take Sector-9 Road and turn left on Sector-22 Road on Janaki Chowk and go to Sector-21 metro station. Vehicles coming from Kapashera and Sector-21 metro stations and going from Dwarka Court, Sector-1, 7 and 8 Dwarka will have to take an alternative route from Sector-22 road and turn right from Janaki Chowk to Sector-9 Road and go towards Sector-1, Sector-7 and 8 Dwarka.
