Delhi government is more interested in liquor sale and liquor policy.. Mansukh Mandaviya’s big attack

New Delhi: The Central Government has raised the question that when the citizens of other states of the country are getting the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri-Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), then why are the governments of Delhi and West Bengal not implementing this scheme? Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya said that the Government of India has written letters to the AAP government several times to implement Ayushman Yojana in Delhi, but the Delhi government is more interested in the sale of liquor and liquor policy. Mandaviya said there may be political differences but there should be no politics over decisions implemented for the welfare of the people.

Delhi government is more interested in selling liquor

Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya said that the scope of Ayushman Yojana has been expanded, now all the elderly aged 70 years and above have been brought under Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana, irrespective of the income of those elders. But the people and elderly people of Delhi are not getting its benefit. States like Delhi, West Bengal are not joining it, which is unfortunate. The Government of India has written many times. The Central Government also insists that the Delhi Government should take more interest in the health of the people of Delhi than the interest it takes in selling liquor and liquor policy.

A petition was also filed in the court

Ayushman Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri-Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) exactly six years ago on 23 September 2018 and now a network of 30 thousand hospitals across the country has been connected with this scheme. At present 16679 public and 12969 private hospitals are included in this scheme. More than 60 crore people from 12.37 crore families have got the guarantee of free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. Assembly elections are to be held in Delhi in the next two months and before that the issue of Ayushman card also seems to be gaining momentum. BJP MP has filed a petition in Delhi High Court and the court asked the AAP government why it is not implementing Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY)?

Centre’s big plan regarding health sector

Union Minister Mandaviya said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 360 degree work is being done in the health sector in the country. Six parameters are most important for the health system. The health infrastructure in the country should be best, there should be skilled work force, there should be research and availability of medicines in the country, there should be research and production in medical devices, diagnostics should be cheap and available in the country, most of the medical equipment should be manufactured in the country itself. When we work on six such parameters in health, then better health facilities are easily available in a huge country like India. he/she said that a decade ago there were 387 medical colleges in the country, which have doubled to 780. MBBS seats have increased from 51 thousand to 1.18 lakh, thus the number of seats has increased by 130%. There has been an increase of 134% in PG seats and now PG seats have increased from 31000 to 73000. The number of AIIMS in the country has increased from 6 to 22, 12 AIIMS are already operational and the construction work of the remaining AIIMS is going on.
