The makers of ‘Dedh Bigha Zameen’ have released the trailer of the film, in which Prateik Gandhi is shown as a ‘common man’ and Khushali Kumar is shown in the role of his/her wife. Based in a small town in Uttar Pradesh, the trailer shows the struggle of a common man who fights against all odds to get his/her sister married. Playing Prateek Gandhi’s wife, Khushali Kumar is in a non-glamorous avatar as her character is of the same ilk. The trailer of Dedh Bigha Zameen takes us straight to the social situation where a middle class common man lives with his/her sister. Promises dowry to in-laws. he/she then tries to raise money with his/her wife, but gets a shock when his/her ancestral land is taken over. When corruption is at its peak, law is not working for the common man, will a middle class man be able to find a way to get himself out of this crisis.
