New Delhi. Indian cricket fans got to hear a bad news on Thursday, June 20. The news of the sudden death of former fast bowler David Johnson, who played for Team India, came to light. This former bowler, who had played with the current head coach of the Indian team Rahul Dravid and former coach Anil Kumble, died after falling from the balcony of his/her house. The 52-year-old player had made a place in the Indian team while playing first-class for Karnataka.

David Johnson, who made his/her debut under the captaincy of a great player like Sachin Tendulkar, did not have a long career. The 52-year-old player died on Thursday after falling from the balcony of his/her house. This former bowler is survived by his/her wife and two children. Johnson, who played only 2 Test matches for India, was running a cricket academy near his/her house.

Born on 16 October 1971 in Karnataka, this fast bowler made his/her mark playing for his/her state team Karnataka. This fast bowler, who played first-class matches, did not have a good career in international cricket. David, who bowled at a speed of 157.8 kmph, was part of Karnataka’s strong bowling unit in which India’s legendary spinner Anil Kumble used to play with fast bowlers Javagal Srinath and Venkatesh Prasad.

David Johnson played his/her first test match for India against Australia on 10 October 1996. In this match, he/she made Michael Slater his/her victim. In December this year, he/she played his/her second and last test match against South Africa. In this match, he/she was able to take only two wickets. After this, he/she was out of Team India. David Johnson took 125 wickets in 39 matches while playing Ranji Trophy for Karnataka. he/she took a total of 41 wickets in 33 List A matches. In first class cricket, Johnson scored a century which was the biggest innings of his/her career.
