‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ suffer a big blow, earnings fell drastically on Monday, but there was a surge in worldwide earnings

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s film ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ has suffered a major setback in India. The film, which earned a brilliant Rs 65.95 crore at the Indian box office in the first weekend, has fallen down drastically on Monday. On the fourth day of its release, this MCU film could not earn even Rs 7 crore. However, the film is doing tremendous business abroad and especially in America and it has crossed the figure of gross earnings of Rs 4000 crore worldwide in four days. ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, directed by Shawn Levy, earned Rs 21.00 crore on the opening day in India. Its earnings increased to Rs 22.65 crore on Saturday. While on Sunday, the earnings did not increase accordingly and it did a business of Rs 22.30 crore, slightly less than Saturday. If we look at the graph of earnings, its weekend has been flat. Whereas there is usually a possibility of a jump in earnings on Sunday. This simply means that even though the film is earning well, its trend is not very good. This has been the case with Bollywood and South films for some time now.

India did not earn even Rs 7 crore on Monday

‘Deadpool 3’ can cross 100 crores in India in the first week

However, the film has started well. After a good weekend, it is important that its earnings do not decrease much in the entire week. Some of Marvel Studio’s previous films have struggled a lot in India. Especially, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ is in a much better position than them. This film still has the potential to earn more than Rs 100 crore in its first week.

‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ in better shape than ‘Godzilla x Kong’ and MI7

Compared to Hollywood films, ‘Deadpool 3’ is performing better than the second big release of 2024, ‘Godzilla x Kong’. It earned Rs 6 crore on its first Monday and did a lifetime business of Rs 106.99 crore in theaters. Similarly, Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning’, released last year, earned Rs 5.00 crore on its first Monday. The total collection of this film was Rs 110.30 crore in India.

‘Bad News’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ are unable to give competition

There is no such film in the Indian box office that can give a tough competition to ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’. Currently, Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri’s ‘Bad News’ is running in the theatres and on the other hand, there is a month old ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.
