Dangerous nuclear material worth crores… BJP asked where did the DRDO document come to the TMC leader’s husband?

New Delhi: Francis Ekka, husband of TMC leader Amrita Ekka, has been arrested in West Bengal’s Darjeeling with confidential DRDO documents and radioactive material worth crores of rupees. After this incident, on Saturday, BJP fiercely targeted Trinamool Congress (TMC). BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala accused TMC of being involved in activities that endanger national security. This incident took place in Belgachi village of Naxalbari block. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala has made serious allegations against TMC. he/she said that dangerous nuclear material and confidential DRDO documents worth crores of rupees have been recovered from the TMC leader’s house. Francis Ekka, from whose house these documents and materials were recovered, is the husband of a TMC leader in Naxalbari Panchayat Samiti. Poonawala raised the question that how did such important national security documents and materials reach the house of a TMC leader? Is this not evidence of his/her anti-national activities? How did the administration not know? Is this collusion or negligence and incompetence?

‘TMC is for vote bank politics…’

Poonawala further said that TMC has a long history of compromising national interests for vote bank politics. They compromise national and state interests for their personal corrupt interests. he/she demanded a complete investigation into this matter. he/she also accused TMC of harboring Rohingya infiltrators and bomb makers.

‘…and now they are compromising national security itself’

he/she said, ‘We have seen how he/she has committed corruption. We have seen protection and shelter being given to all kinds of elements like Rohingya infiltrators and bomb makers, so that they can perform well in the elections. And now they are compromising national security. Shouldn’t TMC be made accountable? Shouldn’t there be a thorough investigation as to what level of protection this leader was being given?

What is the matter?

West Bengal Police arrested Ekka in a joint raid with the Army. An official said, ‘We found many confidential DRDO documents and a large quantity of radioactive California with them. The accused person could not give any clear answer as to why he/she had this material. he/she said that the market value of one gram of the seized material could be around Rs 17 crore. “The accused has been accused of smuggling sensitive DRDO documents and radioactive material,” the officer said. he/she may have connections with foreign organizations. he/she is being interrogated.
