It is not easy to score such a big score in the fourth innings on the Pune pitch. Due to which India is in danger of losing its first Test series at home since 2012-13.

Morkel said in the press conference after the match, ‘I never like conflict between batsmen and bowlers. But in Test cricket you need to score runs in the first innings. It would be good if we dominate but we have not been successful in doing so. We have world class players in our batting line-up. I know that personally they are engaged in their process and they know how to deal with these things.

Because at this time we are having to pay the price for it. But I am sure he/she has a lot of experience and knowledge to improve it. I am expecting the team to come back strongly in the second innings. I am excited to see how they bounce back and how they play in this situation and circumstances.

This game is quite fun. Our players are aggressive players, players who are well aware of these conditions. Our conversation before this match was that we are experts in these situations, we know how to face these situations. But honestly speaking, it will be a difficult task. But this is an opportunity to really motivate and show fighting spirit and perform at the top, that’s how I see it.
