DA Hike In Meghalaya Government : Meghalaya Government has given great news to its employees on the occasion of New Year. Actually, the Meghalaya government has increased the DA of the employees. The government has approved a 4 percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) to state employees and pensioners.
Center increased DA
The Meghalaya government has approved a 4 per cent increase in the dearness allowance of the employees of the state, at par with the central government employees. This increase in dearness allowance will be effective from July 2022. With this, from July 2022, DA has increased to 32 per cent from the current rate of 28 per cent.
DA of central employees was increased on Diwali
It may be known that on September 29, 2022, the central government had approved to increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent. Now 50 lakh central employees and 62 lakh pensioners are getting DA of 38 per cent. The increased amount of DA will be applicable from July this year only. For this, the arrears of the previous months will also be given to the employees.
DA increased for the employees of these states
Significantly, now the central employees were getting 34 percent DA, which has now increased to 38 percent. Apart from the central government, the state governments of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, UP, Karnataka, Punjab, Assam etc. have also announced an increase in the DA of their employees.
Arunachal Pradesh also increased DA
On the other hand, in the last month, the Arunachal Pradesh Government had increased the DA of employees and pensioners by 4-4 per cent. After which now the DA of employees and DR of pensioners has been increased from 34 percent to 38 percent. This increase will benefit 68,000 regular employees. This will put an estimated burden of Rs 120 crore on the state government.
