Cyber ​​Crime: CBI’s crackdown on cyber fraudsters, raided 32 locations across the country and arrested 26 people.

New Delhi: Taking action under Operation Chakra-3 in the case of cyber fraud with foreign citizens, especially American citizens, CBI conducted raids in 32 cities of the country. Where so far 26 accused have been arrested from four illegally run call centres. There may be more arrests in the coming days.

CBI raided 32 locations

CBI said that based on the input received in this case, an FIR was registered on September 24. While starting the investigation, CBI late evening of 26th September found four call centers being run illegally in Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Visakhapatnam. Here CBI raided 32 locations related to call centers and the accused running them. Here CBI arrested 170 people. Of these, 26 accused have been arrested so far. The rest are being interrogated and their role in these call centers is being investigated. The arrested accused include 10 from Pune, five from Hyderabad and 11 from Visakhapatnam.

The CBI team has seized 951 items including electronic devices, mobile phones, laptops, documents giving information about cyber fraud, communication records and other materials from these locations. Apart from this, cash worth Rs 58.45 lakh, locker keys and three luxury cars have also been seized.
