Cyber ​​Arrest: Home Ministry brings new ‘weapon’ against digital arrest, high level committee will rein in cyber criminals

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has constituted a high level committee on Wednesday regarding the increasing cyber crimes and digital arrest cases in the country. It is being told that the Internal Security Secretary of the Home Ministry is monitoring this committee. In fact, in the 115th episode of his/her monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, PM Modi advised the countrymen to be alert about ‘digital arrest’. Was. he/she also gave the mantra of ‘Wait-Think-Take Action’ to avoid cyber fraud.

High level committee formed on the advice of PM Modi

Following PM Modi’s advice, the Home Ministry took a big step to stop the increasing cases of digital arrest and cyber fraud. A high level committee has been constituted to deal with digital arrest and cyber fraud. It is being told that a special campaign will be launched to curb the incidents of digital arrest. If sources are to be believed, instructions have been given to take immediate action on incidents of digital arrest. Apart from this, the 14C wing of the Home Ministry has also contacted the police of all the states. The 14C wing of MHA will monitor digital arrests on a case-to-case basis.

More than 6000 complaints registered

It may be noted that this year more than 6,000 complaints related to digital arrest have been registered. The Cyber ​​Wing of the Home Ministry has blocked 6 lakh mobiles so far. All these phones were involved in incidents of cyber fraud and digital arrest. Apart from this, 14C wing has also blocked 709 mobile applications so far. Not only this, 1 lakh 10 thousand IMEIs involved in cyber fraud have been blocked. Besides, 3.25 lakh fake banks related to cyber fraud have also been frozen.

They create so much psychological pressure that the person gets scared and becomes a victim of digital arrest.
