Culprits of defeat: 3 reasons… due to which Team India lost, the tables were turned

New Delhi. The Indian cricket team had to face defeat in the first match of the T20 series against South Africa after a strong win. Team India lost to the host team in a very exciting match played on Sunday. Due to the mistakes made by captain Suryakumar Yadav during this match, India lost even after coming close to victory. If he/she had not made this mistake, perhaps the outcome of the match could have been different.

In the second T20 match against South Africa, India could score only 124 runs due to poor batting condition. Varun Chakraborty turned the match towards India by taking 5 wickets with top class bowling but in the end Tristan Stubbs came and turned the matter around. Playing an unbeaten inning of 47 runs, he/she gave South Africa victory in the 19th over and leveled the series at 1-1. If we look at the reasons for India’s defeat in this match, three big names will come to the fore.

batting order failed
The Indian team could score only 124 runs against South Africa in the second T20. The flop of the batting order was the biggest reason for the defeat in this match. The top 6 batsmen of the team who scored above 200 in the first match had returned after scoring 87 runs. Big players like Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma, Rinku Singh were out cheaply and returned. The top 3 batsmen could not even reach double figures.

Question on Hardik’s slow innings
Only one batsman batted the best for the Indian team in the second T20 but he/she is the one who has to be criticized. Hardik Pandya played an inning of 39 runs in 45 balls. he/she had a chance to hit big hits in the last overs but he/she failed to do so. In the last over of the innings, Hardik Pandya played four consecutive ball dots. Had he/she focused on taking singles and doubles instead of trying to hit big shots on these four balls, India might have been able to give a bigger target to South Africa.

Akshar did not bowl much
For the Indian team, the spinners had changed the course of the match in the second T20 against South Africa. Varun Chakraborty took 5 wickets for 17 runs in the quota of 4 overs. Ravi Bishnoi also took 1 wicket for 21 runs in 4 overs. Captain Suryakumar Yadav gave only 1 over to Axar Patel on a pitch where the spinner was getting help. That too when he/she had given only 2 runs.
