CUET UG 2025: All 50 questions MCQ, complete syllabus based on NCERT, understand how the CUET paper will be.

The level of all questions appearing in each paper of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2025) will be based on NCERT syllabus. There will be 50 MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) questions in each subject paper of the University Entrance Exam. There itself, CUET The General Test running from 2022 to 2024 has now been redesigned as General Aptitude Test. In the new CUET exam format, in the 26 subjects including 20 languages ​​which have been removed, only the score of General Aptitude Test will be considered for admission.

UGC Chairman’s advice for CUET preparation

UGC Chairman Prof. M. Jagadish Kumar has advised students to give priority to NCERT books while preparing for CUET UG Exam 2025. It is noteworthy that this time UGC has implemented uniformity formula for CUET. In this series, now only MCQs will come in all 37 papers. Also, there has been no change in the syllabus. For every paper, questions will come from NCERT books only.

Pro. Kumar said that students who are not taking coaching for CUET also need not worry. If you read and understand the questions given in NCERT books in class 12th well, then there will be no problem in MCQs. Apart from this, the UGC Chairman has advised the students to prepare well for the application based questions.

Most applications for CUET General Aptitude?

If we look at the statistics of previous years, on an average a student chooses 4.3 subjects. There was freedom to choose 6 subjects in CUET 2024, which has now been reduced to 5 subjects. Most of the applications are in English because English marks are considered for admission to any course at graduation level. After that applications are made for General Test. More applications come for the subjects of Chemistry, Physics, Maths- Applied Mathematics, Biology, Economics, Hindi, Business Studies.

This time the maximum number of applications is expected in the General Aptitude Test. Reason- For 2025, papers of Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies, Engineering Graphics and 20 Languages ​​(some foreign languages) have been removed. Admission in these 26 subjects will be through General Aptitude Test.

What will happen in CUET General Test?

CUET General Aptitude Test comprises of General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple Application of Basic Mathematical Concepts Arithmetic/ Algebra/ Geometry) and Logical and Analytical Reasoning. Like other papers, this paper will also be of one hour only. This time there will be no choice in the question paper and it will be necessary to attempt all the questions.

‘Don’t depend only on coaching’

There is no dearth of students who are studying additional questions and study material in coaching centres. But experts say that 12th syllabus is most important. Dr. SK Garg, Director General of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies, says that if the student solves the problems given in NCERT books and reads each chapter thoroughly, then he/she will not need coaching. It would be better to prepare from those books only.
