CUET Result 2024 Update: Take admission in private college or wait for CUET result?

Private Universities Vs CUET Admissions: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet released the result of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) and neither are the students able to know when the result will come? The troubled students have also taken admission in many private universities including Delhi. But the first choice of most of the students is the colleges of Delhi University and those students CUET Waiting for the result.

As the result is getting delayed, the students’ problems are increasing. The question before them is how long should they wait? Because the reporting time at the institute where they have taken admission is also ending.

NTA’s failure, students’ data got lost

NTA conducted the exam in hybrid mode in 2024 with the aim that the result would come on June 30 and after that the university would have enough time to run the admission process. One question after another is being raised on NTA. The case of irregularities in the medical entrance exam is going on in the Supreme Court. Even after that many exams were postponed. In CUET also, some students were retested and the result is not coming.

Just like NTA had retested more than 1500 students in the medical entrance exam NEET UG, in the same way, about a thousand students have been retested in CUET. The data of some of these students was lost.

What do career counselors say?

Career counselor Alok Bansal says that he/she is getting many calls from worried students every day. They are asking for advice whether they should wait for the CUET result now or report to the university where they have already got admission. Admission to graduation courses in 261 universities including DU, JNU, Jamia is to be done on the basis of CUET score. Many students also need hostel. If they do not report on time, then those students will also face hostel problems.

Admissions in many private universities are almost complete. Now, the challenges for students who want to shift from private universities to DU colleges after the CUET results are out will not be less. There may be a loss of fees as well. The final answer key of CUET is still awaited, after which the result will be out. It is believed that the session will be delayed in DU as well.
