Shakib al hasan Arrest warrant: An arrest warrant has been issued against Bangladeshi cricketer Shakib al Hasan. There is an allegation against him/her of fraud with the bank.

New Delhi. A Dhaka court has issued an arrest warrant against Bangladesh’s great all-rounder and former captain Shakib Al Hasan. This warrant has been issued against 37-year-old Shakib in a check bounce case related to IFIC Bank. There is an allegation of fraud against him/her.

According to Cricbuzz report, Dhaka’s Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ziadur Rahman issued the order for the arrest warrant on Sunday. Shakib who has been living abroad since August 2024. his/her name came up in the check fraud case on December 15 last year. After the hearing on 18 December, the court had ordered him/her to appear in the court on 19 January.

This case against Bangladesh’s most successful bowler Shakib was filed by IFIC Bank’s Relationship Officer Shahibur Rahman on behalf of the bank. According to the report, Shakib and three others are accused of not fulfilling the commitment of transferring BDT 4,14,57,000 (about 41.4 million taka) through two separate cheques.

Shakib’s company Al Hassan Agro Farm Limited’s managing director Ghazi Shahgir Hussain and directors Amdadul Haq and Malaika Begum have also been included in this case. According to the statement of the case, Shakib’s company had borrowed money from the Banani branch of IFIC Bank at different times. The checks were issued to repay part of the loan, but bounced due to insufficient funds.
