Cost of studying abroad will be saved, Australia’s top university can open its campus in India

Western Sydney University News: Top universities of Australia are now opening their campuses in India also. After Deakin University and University of Wollongong, Australia’s Western Sydney University (WSU) is planning to launch a campus in India. If the university gets permission to open the campus, it will start its campus in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Australian High Commissioner Philip Green has given this information on social media platform X.
WSU Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Sweeney has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Manoj Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh, for this. Professor Sweeney said he/she is interested in focusing on creating impactful solutions for sustainable agriculture and food security with teaching, research and technical innovation specifically tailored to the country’s agricultural technology, science and other industries.

Which courses can be studied?

Courses like Computer Science, Business and Engineering can be taught at Western Sydney University. These are some such courses which are very popular for study among Indian students. Indian students go to countries like Australia only to study these courses. Computer Science is the most demanded course because the highest growth is being seen in the IT industry all over the world. Indians are going all over the world and working in the IT industry.

There was talk of opening a campus in Karnataka also

The thing to note here is that two other Australian universities already have campuses in Gujarat. Last year, under the leadership of Consul General McGeachy, the university met Karnataka’s Higher Education Minister Dr MC Sudhakar and Chief Secretary Dr Shalini Rajneesh to discuss the establishment of an agricultural university in the state. George Williams, Vice-Chancellor of Western Sydney University, had expressed interest in starting a campus in Bengaluru, focusing on areas such as water management in agriculture and food processing.
