New Delhi : After a long wait and much debate, Congress declared its candidates for all 90 seats in Haryana by Thursday afternoon, the last day of nomination. If we take a look at the Congress list, it is clearly visible that Bhupendra Singh Hooda appeared influential in the tug-of-war for tickets that continued till the last moment. On the other hand, nepotism was once again visible in the Congress. After the announcement of 40 tickets on Wednesday midnight, while there was a problem on nine seats, from Wednesday midnight till Thursday afternoon, Congress made the picture clear on all the seats.

However, a leader of this camp, on the condition of anonymity, said that it would be wrong to call it a camp, he/she is the CLP leader of the party. Therefore, he/she has good relations with everyone. Most of the seats of Congress have been given to those candidates who have emerged from the survey. At the same time, a source said that Hooda could not get tickets for his/her favourites on four-five seats, because their names were not coming in the survey. Actually, in Haryana Congress, apart from Hooda, Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala and Kumari Shailja have also indicated their claim to the CM post. Therefore, both Shailja and Surjewala were seeking assembly tickets. There was also a tug-of-war among all these leaders to get tickets for their close ones and trusted faces.
