Congress will oppose the ordinance to control officers in Delhi

New Delhi: The second meeting of the opposition is being held on Monday in Bengaluru, Karnataka. More than 25 parties are expected to participate in this meeting. National convenor Arvind Kejriwal is likely to attend the meeting from Aam Aadmi Party’s side. Before this meeting, the Congress party has made a big announcement. Congress general secretary KC Venugopal has said that the party will oppose the Centre’s ordinance on control over officials in Delhi. After this AAP’s Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha has called it a positive development.

‘We will oppose the Centre’s ordinance in Delhi’

Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that we will oppose the ordinance of the Center in Delhi. Our stand is very clear, we are not going to support the Delhi ordinance. Tomorrow the opposition meeting is going to be held in Bengaluru and Kejriwal will probably attend this meeting. However, before this, the Aam Aadmi Party has called a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) at 4 pm today. It is believed that in this meeting it will be decided whether the party will attend the meeting to be held in Bengaluru or not.

Let us tell you that before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the opposition wants to fight the elections together. The initiative for this was started by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and a meeting related to this was held in Patna on 23 June. Now the next meeting is going to be held in Bengaluru, Karnataka on 17th and 18th July. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has also sent invitation letters to the leaders of several opposition parties for this meeting. “The meeting was a great success as we were able to discuss various important issues threatening our democratic polity and unanimously agreed to fight the next general elections unitedly,” Kharge said in his/her invitation letter. The Congress President further reminded the leaders that we have agreed to meet again in July.
