New Delhi : Congress’s Gaurav Gogoi will be the party’s deputy leader in the Lok Sabha. A letter regarding this decision has been sent to Speaker Om Birla. All India Congress Committee’s organization general secretary K.C. Venugopal gave this information in a post on ‘X’. he/she said that Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi has written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Birla and informed him/her about the appointment of Congress’ deputy leader, chief whip and two whips in the lower house of Parliament.

KC Venugopal said that Gaurav Gogoi will be the deputy leader of the party in the Lok Sabha. Eight-time MP from Kerala K Suresh will be the party’s chief whip. he/she said that Virudhunagar MP Manikam Tagore and Kishanganj MP Mohammad Javed will be the party’s whips in the Lok Sabha. Earlier, the party had appointed Rahul Gandhi as the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha. Venugopal said that under the guidance of opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, the Congress and the parties of the ‘India’ alliance will strongly raise the issues of the people in the Lok Sabha.

Budget session of Parliament from July 22
