‘Confusion’ in Kerala after oath taking, discussions intensified after Suresh Gopi’s statement

New Delhi: After the swearing-in of the NDA government, confusion spread over whether Suresh Gopi, who became a minister from Kerala, would remain a minister or not. Also, a tweet by Rajiv Chandrashekhar, who was a minister in the previous government, created confusion that he/she was retiring from public life. Both of them clarified later. For the first time in Kerala, BJP has won a Lok Sabha seat. BJP MP Suresh Gopi, who won from Thrissur seat, took oath as a Minister of State on Sunday. However, after taking oath, he/she made a statement that I did not ask for the post of minister and it is expected that he/she will be relieved from the post soon. he/she said that as an MP, I will work for the people of Thrissur. I have signed many films and I have to do them. After his/her statement, discussions started that he/she may resign from the post of minister.

Why did the discussions intensify?

There were also discussions that he/she wanted cabinet rank or independent charge but he/she was made minister of state, which he/she is not happy with. However, later Suresh Gopi clarified in an ex-post by writing that it is wrong news that I am resigning from the council of ministers. Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, we are committed to the development and prosperity of Kerala. There was also confusion due to an ex-post of former minister Rajeev Chandrashekhar, who contested from Thiruvananthapuram seat and lost to Shashi Tharoor in a close contest. On Sunday, he/she wrote in his/her ex-post that today my 18 years of public life is ending.

Suresh Gopi deleted the post after some time

After which discussions started whether he/she is leaving active politics. However, this post was deleted after some time and then he/she wrote another post in which it was said that the first post was made by an intern, due to which people started getting confused about my future political work. he/she wrote that today my 18 years of tenure as an MP and 3 years of tenure as a Minister of State is ending. he/she wrote that my commitment and work to take Thiruvananthapuram and India forward will continue as a BJP worker. On Monday, he/she again wrote in an ex post that I had told all those who voted for me in this election that as PM Narendra Modi will take over as PM for the third time, we will start working on solving the problems and issues of Thiruvananthapuram. I have planned a 100-day agenda for Thiruvananthapuram and will work on them with the Modi government.
