China was already shocked, now for the second time in 24 hours PM Modi gave advice on South China Sea

New Delhi : South China Sea. An area where expansionist China keeps showing its bullying. Keeps misbehaving. Bullies. Keeps troubling the surrounding countries from time to time. Where he/she has created artificial islands. At least three islands have been militarized. A military base has been built. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given great advice regarding the South China Sea without naming China. Second advice within two days. The advice is that the stability of the South China Sea is important for the peace of the entire Indo-Pacific region, hence disputes should be resolved according to international rules and regulations. A day earlier on Thursday, when India and ASEAN gave a message to China to desist from mischief in the South China Sea, it was stunned. It began to be described as an attempt by outside forces to interfere in regional matters. Meanwhile, PM Modi placed his/her hand on her sore spot for the second time. Now it is certain to shake and flutter even more. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his/her address at the 19th East Asia Summit on Friday, stressed the importance of the stability of the South China Sea for the entire Indo-Pacific region. PM Modi said, ‘A free, open, inclusive, prosperous and rules-based Indo-Pacific is vital for the peace and progress of the entire region. The peace, security and stability of the South China Sea is in the interest of the entire Indo-Pacific region.

While advocating unity among ASEAN countries, PM Modi said that there are deep similarities between India’s ‘Indo-Pacific Ocean Initiative’ and ‘ASEAN Outlook on Indo-Pacific’.

China was shocked when it received advice
Earlier, in a joint statement issued by India and ASEAN on Thursday, it was said that whatever disputes there are in the South China Sea should be resolved in accordance with international laws. China was stunned after the advice to respect international laws. On Thursday itself, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang alleged that ‘external forces’ were interfering in ‘regional affairs’.

Philippines President also scolded China
During the ASEAN Summit itself, Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. also slammed China. he/she said that it is unfortunate that the situation in the South China Sea remains tense largely because of China’s rights.

PM Modi spoke about Myanmar
PM Modi on Friday stressed the importance of restoration of democracy in Myanmar and said that it should not be isolated. he/she said that India will continue to fulfill its responsibilities as a neighboring country. Myanmar should not be isolated.

Referring to the Russia-Ukraine war and Israel-Iran tension in West Asia, Prime Minister Modi reiterated his/her much-discussed statement that this is not the era of war. he/she said, ‘This is not an era of war. Solutions to problems cannot come from the battlefield.

PM Modi stressed India’s commitment to respecting sovereignty, territorial integrity and international laws, while also urging a humanitarian approach, giving priority to dialogue and diplomacy. he/she said, ‘While fulfilling the responsibility of Vishwabandhu, India will continue to make every possible contribution in this direction.’

Call for international cooperation against terrorism
PM Modi also talked about terrorism, calling it a serious challenge to global peace and security. Calling for international cooperation against terrorism, he/she said, ‘Forces that believe in humanity will have to work together.’ They also stressed the need to strengthen cooperation in cyber, maritime and space sectors to ensure collective security.

On the sidelines of the summit in Vientiane, PM Modi met US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and expressed grief over the death of at least 14 people in the US due to Hurricane Milton.

PM Modi’s two-day visit to Laos
PM Modi is on a two-day visit to Laos, where he/she also attended the 21st ASEAN-India Summit. his/her visit marks a decade of India’s Act East Policy. Upon arriving in Vientiane, he/she was formally welcomed and received by senior ministers, including Laos’ Home Minister, Vilayavong Buddhakham. PM Modi also interacted with members of the Indian community and was welcomed by several dignitaries, including the Minister of Education and Sports and the Mayor of Vientiane.

he/she attended a performance of the Lao Ramayan, Phalak Falam, by the Royal Theater of Luang Prabang, and praised the cultural ties between India and Laos, sharing photos of the event on Instagram. India and Laos have close historical and cultural ties, reflected in their common heritage of Buddhism and the Ramayana. The two countries established bilateral relations in 1956 and their relations remain friendly.
