It is seen in the video that a 5-6 year old child is using the mobile. his/her mother snatches the mobile from him/her and asks him/her to study and write. Mother sits there and starts talking to someone on her mobile. The child sits down with a book or copy but something else is going on in his/her mind. It is seen in the video that after being hit by the bat, the woman falls unconscious and the child takes out the mobile phone from her hand and starts playing it. First of all, let us make it clear that the viral video is not real but scripted, but the danger is real and serious. Mobile addiction is making children aggressive. It is causing a lot of harm to them. The viral video is so scary that people are forwarding it to their acquaintances and relatives on WhatsApp. They are warning that see how dangerous children are becoming due to mobile addiction. This video has reminded us of a hair-raising incident that took place in Noida about 7 years ago. Then, hurt by his/her mother’s scolding and slap, a 16-year-old boy killed his/her mother as well as his/her sister.

You might remember that scary incident of Noida Extension. The boy felt that his/her parents loved his/her sister more than him/her. he/she became irritable and lonely. he/she was weak in studies. One evening in December 2017, his/her mother interrupted him/her to sit on the sofa and read a book. Mother said to study sitting at the dining table. But the minor does not listen to the mother. After this, the angry mother slapped him/her and asked him/her to do sit-ups. When the boy did not listen to his/her mother this time too, the angry mother slapped him/her again.

After some time, mother, son and 12 year old daughter had dinner together. Everything looked normal but in reality it was not. After dinner, mother and daughter went to sleep in one room and the minor in a separate room. Between 10 and 11 pm the boy gets up from his/her room and picks up the cricket bat. he/she then picks up the pizza cutter and scissors. With these things he/she goes to the room in which his/her mother and sister are sleeping. he/she attacked the mother first. Meanwhile, when the sister woke up and started screaming, she was also attacked. 16 year old boy killed both mother and sister.

The viral video of the child’s alleged attack on the mother with a bat is reminiscent of the same horrifying incident in Noida Extension. However, the viral video is not real but scripted. D-Intent Data has fact-checked the video and said that it is fake and scripted. Actually, the full version of this video has been shared on Facebook with an account named Ideas Factory. There is a disclaimer in it that the video is scripted and it has been made for educational and entertainment purposes.

The biggest reason for the video going viral is the prevalence of mobile addiction among children. There is hardly any house where the family members are not troubled by their children’s mobile addiction. It is the parents who make children develop this addiction. Before the child even learns to read and write, he/she is handed a mobile phone. The child did not cry but handed over the mobile. The same thing becomes dangerous in future and children become victims of mobile addiction. This has become a problem in almost every house where there are children.

Mobile addiction in children is very dangerous. This thing is coming to the fore again and again in many studies and research. Excessive use of mobile phones is causing many serious problems in children and teenagers. Their physical and mental development is being badly affected. Children are not able to concentrate, due to which their studies are being adversely affected. Children’s sleep is also being disturbed due to mobile addiction, due to which they are becoming lethargic. This is also becoming the cause of depression in some children. Excessive use of mobile phone causes pain in neck, shoulder or wrist. Puts strain on eyes. The child is not able to do any work with full concentration because he/she is unable to concentrate.

The viral video may be scripted, but the danger depicted in it is absolutely real. To ensure that children do not get addicted to mobile phones and if they do, parents should encourage them to do sports or outdoor activities with family and friends. Engage them in drawing, music or any similar creative activity. Don’t use your smartphone too much yourself. Talk to children. Play Ludo, chess or any other kind of indoor game with them.
