‘Chhawa’ movie review
Lakshman Utekar, director of films like ‘Jara Hara Hatke Jara Bachake’, ‘Mimi’ and ‘Lukachupi’, talks about a unique historical phase here, which has been included in a few sentences in history. However, recently, Thakurnup Singh’s Marathi film ‘Dharmakar Mahavir Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’, based on Medha Deshmukh’s book ‘Life and Death of Sambhaji Maharaj’, was also very popular. ‘Chhava’ also moves forward on the same lines, but Laxman Utekar decorates this historical plot on a huge canvas.
The scene of the film’s first creeper sets its mood. At the same time it is established that fearless and fearless teeth is a wonderful warrior. In the first part, it takes time to get a leaf, its valor and establishing the characters, but in the second part the story becomes thrilling. Although the full emphasis of the director has been on showing the bravery of the teach, which is why not much work has been done on the backstory of the leaf and that is why the film lacks a strong story. Yes, all the action sequences of the film are lifeless, brilliant and stylish, whose choreography is capable of praise.
Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s small army with which the Gorilla technique of Aurangzeb’s army is worth seeing. Climax’s war sequence is the life of the film, in which Sambhaji Tamam does not kneel despite tortures. The film also contains CTM dialogues like ‘Hum Shor Kare Karin Karr Kare Kare Kare’.
Adorned with the music of AR Rahman, the film is according to the theme ‘Aay Re Stuffan’, but the song like ‘Jaane Tu’ seems strange according to that era. The background score has supported the film a lot. Laxman himself is a well -known cinematographer, despite this, he/she has entrusted the responsibility of cinematography to Saurabh Goswami and has to admit that his/her camerak makes the film enrich the film.
In terms of acting, if Vikki Kaushal has given everything to life to bring this historical character to life, it would not be wrong. Vicky Kaushal has found a brilliant opening and climax scene of his/her career, in which he/she has proved unmatched. he/she has made the knight alive on screen like a lion. his/her passion towards Swaraj is clearly visible. This will be called the best performance of his/her career.
Akshaye Khanna has also done a wonderful job as Aurangzeb, a permanent enemy of Chhava. Akshay’s Vanner, gesture and prosthetic makeup make his/her role memorable. Ashutosh Rana has lived the role of Sir Lashkar in a very effective manner, while Vineet Kumar’s character in the role of poet Kalash touches the heart.
Women’s letters do not get much space in the film. A competent actress like Divya Dutta has been enacted. The heroine Rashmika Mandana has done justice to her character, but her dialogue delivery. But Diana Penty’s role disappoints. Apart from four-five dialogues, there was nothing like doing anything in his/her share. The colleague cast is strong.
Why see- Vicky Kaushal’s acting and fond of historical films can watch this film.
