Chhath Puja 2024: Loot on Chhath! Going to Dubai and Malaysia is cheaper than Bihar, know how much fare the airlines are asking for

New Delhi: On the occasion of Chhath Puja, the fares of flights of various airlines going to Bihar and Jharkhand from across the country have started skyrocketing. The situation is such that the flight fares to Patna and Darbhanga have become costlier than even Dubai, Malaysia, Bangkok and Singapore. To go to Purvanchal on Chhath, there is competition not only in Delhi but also in all the flights of Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Is. Travel agent Rakesh Arora says that air fares are expensive every time during the festive season. This time, flights to Purvanchal from some destinations are becoming more expensive. Despite this, flight booking is not available easily. The condition of trains is even worse. In flights, at least you can get a ticket by paying a little more money, but in trains, despite paying money to the agent, you are not able to get a confirmed ticket. However, in view of this fighting, some people are also leaving by road in time.

Fare up to Rs 20 thousand

  • The air fare from Surat to Patna on various sites has reached more than Rs 13 thousand to Rs 20 thousand between October 4 and October 6, which is the highest compared to other cities.
  • At the same time, the fare from Delhi, Mumbai and other cities to Patna and Darbhanga has reached Rs 13 thousand to 18 thousand.
  • At present, if we talk about air fare from Delhi to Dubai, Malaysia, Bangkok and Singapore, it is available between 10 thousand rupees to around 20 thousand rupees between 4th to 8th October.

Accordingly, going to Patna and Darbhanga is costlier than going to these countries. However, from October 6 onwards, the fares of all the flights going from Patna, Darbhanga and Ranchi to Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat and other cities of the country including South India have reduced drastically to less than half. That is, the fares of all the flights going to Bihar have become expensive on Chhath Puja, whereas after Chhath, the same fares are available at less than half.

How to curb rising air fares

This is also a big irony in the festive season. If you do not get a confirmed ticket in the Railways, then the flight fares start touching the sky. Sources say that to curb this problem, aviation regulator DGCA along with the Union Civil Aviation Ministry should take strict steps. Merely warning the airlines will not help. This will also have to be controlled. Although it is not in the hands of the government to control the air fare as per the policy, but in view of the increasing demand for flights on festivals like Holi, Diwali and Chhath, more flights can be operated. This will provide some relief from the huge increase in air fares.
