New Delhi. Cheteshwar Pujara scored his/her 25th Ranji Trophy century for Saurashtra against Chhattisgarh in Rajkot in the second round of Ranji Trophy. he/she completed his/her century in 197 balls. This is Pujara’s 66th century in first class. he/she has gone even ahead of Brian Lara in this matter. Brian Lara has a total of 65 centuries in first class. Now his/her target is Rahul Dravid.

Cheteshwar Pujara is the fourth highest run scorer and century scorer in first class cricket. he/she is behind only Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. Born in 1988 in Rajkot, Gujarat, Pujara was brought up in a cricket family. his/her father Arvind Pujara also used to play cricket for Saurashtra. Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin have scored a total of 81 centuries in first class so far.

After this comes Rahul Dravid who is at second place with 68 centuries. If Pujara scores two more centuries, he/she will equal Rahul Dravid. Pujara made his/her first class debut for Saurashtra in December 2005 and since then he/she has been playing for Saurashtra.

Pujara’s domestic career has been impressive. he/she has scored a lot of runs for Saurashtra on many occasions. he/she scored 437 runs in just four matches in Ranji Trophy 2017-18. Pujara scored his/her 50th first class century in the 2019-20 Ranji Trophy. That season was also amazing for him/her. Pujara is currently out of Team India and his/her return is also difficult now.
