But sometimes they have to face problems due to wrong agents, fake job offers and fake universities. Last year, there was news that Indian citizens who had gone to Cambodia for jobs got stuck there, after which they were somehow brought back to the country. In Canada too, news of Indian students getting trapped there due to admission in fake universities came to light.

Even after getting stuck abroad, you do not need to take tension, because the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India stands with you in every hour of trouble. The government has launched a new portal named ‘Madad’. This online portal is going to be very useful in saving Indians from trouble abroad.

How does ‘Madad’ portal work?

Indian citizens get a chance to lodge complaints on this portal. You go here and tell about your problems happening abroad, which reach the concerned officer or ministry. As soon as the government takes any action on the complaint of the victim, its information reaches the victim through message.

How to file complaint?

To lodge a complaint, you will first have to open the help link portal. Then create your login ID by entering your name, phone number, email and password. As the next step, verify your account using the link sent to your email. Once this is done, you can open your account with your login ID and password. You can lodge your complaint through the form open on the screen. The status of action taken on the complaint can also be checked online.
