Cheating by selling government land at throwaway prices, know how to identify illegal colony or plot


New Delhi : If you are not careful while buying a property, then there can be a big loss. A gang involved in cheating by selling government land at throwaway prices is active in Ghaziabad. The land behind Dasna Jail was sold to a woman for about Rs 2.5 lakh. When the woman built a house on it, the administration team demolished it. Now the woman has filed a case against a property dealer in Vijay Nagar police station. Earlier, the matter of selling the land of Ministry of Defense in Vijay Nagar police station has also come to the fore. ACP Kotwali Nimish Patil said that on the complaint of the woman, investigation is being done by registering a case against Samiullah.

The woman living in Chandmari area told that her husband had died many years back. Somehow raising her 4 children. When he met Samiullah, a property dealer, he showed him the plot behind Dasna Jail. Gave one lakh 40 thousand rupees on being liked. Samiullah also gave his receipt. Later, he gave another one lakh rupees in installments of 3 years. After 3 years, Samiullah gave possession of the plot and the woman built a house. After a few days, the administration team demolished his house by claiming that it was encroachment on the government land. The woman started harassing Samiullah asking for the money back. District administration officials said that before purchasing the plot, take a certified copy of the original Khatauni from the revenue record from the collectorate. Do check whether the person who is selling the land has his name in Khatauni or not.

How to identify illegal colony or plot

GDA’s OSD Gunja Singh told that if you are buying a plot in a colony, then come to GDA and get its information. Find out whether the colonizer has passed the map of the colony in which the plot is being sold. If there is an illegal colony, the GDA team can vandalize it anytime. Similarly, if a plot is being sold somewhere, get its signature removed from the collectorate and check it. Whether the person who is selling the land has his name in Khatauni or not.

Recent cases

June 1: In the Mussoorie area, the administration broke the encroachment on the government land worth about three crores. Investigation revealed that the land mafia had sold the cheap plot by luring.

June 20: About eight hectares (80 thousand square meters) of government land was sold in Akbarpur-Bahrampur along the National Highway-9. When the municipal team reached to remove the encroachment, people started showing the registry. In this matter, investigation is going on on the orders of DM.

June 29: Land mafia near Vijay Nagar Chandmari sold more than 18,000 square meters of Defense Ministry’s land worth crores of rupees. The sub-registrar lodged a report at the Sihani Gate police station.

July 24: In Vijay Nagar’s Charan Singh Colony, two property dealers fraudulently grabbed Rs 5 lakh from Gulazar in the name of selling a government plot.

August 5: Colony was established by showing the barren land near Dasna. Barren land was captured by fudging the revenue records. The court of SDM Sadar ordered to re-register the land worth Rs 200 crore as barren.
