Chandrababu has been cheating, his/her record in supporting people is not good

New Delhi: BJP did not get the expected success in the 2024 election battle. The party leadership had raised the slogan of ‘400 Paar’ for the NDA this time. However, BJP won only 240 seats. In this way, BJP remained far from the majority figure in the 543-seat Lok Sabha. However, the NDA alliance was successful in getting a majority. Among the parties that played an important role in this, the name of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is very important. he/she has emerged as a ‘kingmaker’, because after BJP, TDP has emerged as the second largest party in the ruling NDA. It has won 16 seats in this election. JDU is at number three, which has got 12 seats. If we look at the equation of seats in this way, then BJP will have to depend on TDP as well as Nitish Kumar’s JDU in the formation of the NDA government. Can Chandrababu Naidu be trusted in this political situation? If we look at the record, Naidu has been cheating earlier also. Can BJP trust him/her completely this time?

‘Kingmaker’ Naidu also got an offer from India

There is a lot of discussion in the political corridors about Chandrababu Naidu. It is being said that he/she is also getting offers from the All India Alliance. However, the TDP chief announced that we are in the NDA and I am going to Delhi for a meeting. BJP must have breathed a sigh of relief with this announcement of Chandrababu Naidu. However, the truth is that Naidu had broken ties with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in March 2018 over the special state status to Andhra Pradesh. But the effect of his/her decision was seen in the 2019 assembly and Lok Sabha elections. he/she was defeated badly in both the elections. This pushed him/her into the political background.

Left NDA in 2018 and returned in 2024

Chandrababu Naidu joined the NDA exactly six years later, i.e. in March 2024. he/she contested the assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh together with BJP and Janasena. Under the alliance, out of the total 175 assembly seats in the state, TDP contested 144, Janasena 21 and BJP 10 seats. Despite being in alliance with BJP in the state, Naidu took a different stand on the issue of Muslim reservation and advocated Muslim reservation. he/she openly said that we have been supporting four percent reservation for Muslims since the beginning and this will continue. However, in its manifesto, TDP distanced itself from this issue.

Keep praising PM Modi, but…

Even though Chandrababu Naidu has been seen praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi on every occasion after returning to NDA, his/her relations with him/her were not smooth in the past. Naidu had opposed Modi after the Gujarat riots in 2002. Naidu also has many records to his/her name as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. he/she has been the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the longest time. he/she has held the post of Chief Minister for 13 years and 247 days in several tenures. Apart from this, he/she is the only leader of Andhra Pradesh who took over the reins of the state after the formation of Telangana by separating it from undivided Andhra.

All eyes on Naidu’s next move

Chandrababu Naidu has been quite influential not only in the state but also in national politics. he/she led the United Front during the 1996 and 1998 Lok Sabha elections. he/she was the convenor of the United Front before supporting the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government in 1998. When Chandrababu Naidu joined the NDA, he/she was also its convenor. his/her political journey began in the 1970s. he/she was also in the Youth Congress. Later he/she went to Andhra Pradesh’s regional party Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Now in the new political situation, he/she has emerged as a kingmaker in the NDA government at the Center. It remains to be seen what his/her next move will be.
