New Delhi: There was a huge uproar in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on Monday over the statement made by former Congress President Rahul Gandhi in London about India’s democracy. The meeting of both the Houses had to be adjourned for the whole day after one adjournment due to the ruckus of the ruling party and the opposition. There are chances of uproar in both the Houses of the Parliament even today. In fact, while the BJP is adamant on demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi for his/her statement in London, the Congress is demanding a JPC inquiry into the Hindenburg report on Adani.
Congress making further strategy with opposition parties
Congress will prepare further strategy by meeting with opposition parties on Tuesday. Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s chamber will hold a meeting of opposition parties at 10 am today, after which there may be an uproar again today. Let us tell you that the BJP is attacking Rahul Gandhi’s statement, while the Congress is looking defensive. Rajnadh Singh targeted Rahul in the Lok Sabha
In the Lok Sabha, Defense Minister and Deputy Leader of the House Rajnath Singh targeted Rahul Gandhi. he/she said, ‘Rahul Gandhi, who is a member of this House, has tried to defame India by going to London.’ he/she said that Rahul Gandhi has said that democracy in India has completely collapsed and foreign forces should come and save democracy. he/she said, ‘The entire House should condemn his/her behavior and you (the Speaker) should direct that he/she tender an apology on the forum of Parliament.’

Piyush Goyal attacked Rahul in Rajya Sabha
In the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister and Leader of the House Piyush Goyal termed Rahul Gandhi’s statement as an insult to the country and demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi. Shortly after the start of the meeting on Monday morning, Piyush Goyal in the Rajya Sabha, without naming Rahul Gandhi, said that a leader of the opposition spoke ‘shamelessly’ about India’s democracy from foreign soil, in a ‘shameful manner’. And said on foreign soil that the countries of America and Europe should come to India and interfere in the democracy here. he/she said that such a person should be strongly condemned by the entire House.
Congress defended Rahul, said this in the House
On the statement of Piyush Goyal, some other opposition parties, including the Congress, created a ruckus in retaliation. Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge objected to this and said that the Leader of the House commented on the leaders who are not members of the Rajya Sabha and is talking about inviting them to the House.
