Champions Trophy final will play Australia, Ponting told who will be in front

Champions Trophy 2025 Ricky Ponting has chosen India and Australia as the finalist of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament will take place in Pakistan and Dubai between 19 February to 9 March.

New Delhi. The atmosphere is being created from now on the ICC Champions Trophy. After winning the ICC ODI World Cup final last year, Australia’s team is being considered a contender to win this title. The claim of the Indian team is also said to be strong. Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting has already announced the names of teams playing in the final. The veteran has warned not to mistake the host Pakistan.

Australia’s former captain Ricky Ponting has chosen India and Australia as the finalist of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament is going to be held in Pakistan and Dubai between 19 February to 9 March. After 8 years, this tournament is returning in which eight teams will go to play. Pakistan won the title by beating India by 180 runs in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy played in 2017.

Talking to the ICC, Ponting said, “It is difficult to ignore India and Australia again. Look at the players in both countries. When these big finals and big ICC events come, Australia and India are certainly somewhere. ”

India and Australia are the most successful teams in the history of the ICC Champions Trophy. India won the title in 2013. The trophy was shared with Sri Lanka in 2002 when the final was washed away due to rain. Australia won the title in 2006 and 2009. The final of the ICC ODI World Cup was played between India and Australia in 2023. Australia stopped the Indian team that showed a bang game from winning the title at their home. After stopping India for 240 runs, he/she won 6 wickets.
