New Delhi. Will Pakistan be written on the jersey of Indian cricketers during the ICC Champions Trophy. Has India opposed this and whether Pakistan has approached the ICC on this matter. All this controversy has ended with a statement by the Cricket Board of India (BCCI). The board has said that the Indian cricket team will follow all the ‘dress guidelines’ of the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the Champions Trophy.

BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia on Wednesday dismissed speculation that the board objected to the team’s name writing the name of the host Pakistan on the team’s official jersey. The Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan and UAE from 19 February. India has refused to go to Pakistan for security reasons. So his/her matches will be in Dubai.

Devjit Saikia said, ‘During the Champions Trophy, the BCCI will follow every ICC rule related to the dress. Other teams will fully follow whatever they do in relation to the rules related to ‘logo’ and dress.

Will Rohit Sharma go to Pakistan
Devjit Saikia, however, did not say whether Indian captain Rohit Sharma will go to Pakistan for a photo shoot of captains. he/she said, ‘Whether or not Rohit Sharma will go to Pakistan for ICC media programs, it is still not decided.’ A photo shoot of the captains of all the teams is done before the ICC tournament. Apart from this, all the captains also hold press conferences.
