‘Chaipatti’ fame Sudhanshu Rai- These stars will be seen in Punit Sharma’s new film ‘Baida’, sci-fi thriller

Filmmaker-producer Sudhanshu Rai and director Puneet Sharma, the duo who made a splash with interesting horror comedies like ‘Chaipatti’ and ‘Chinta Mani’, are back this time with a booster dose of thrill. These makers, known for telling unique stories that keep the audience glued to their seats, have announced their new film ‘Baida’. ‘Baida’ is a one-of-a-kind sci-fi supernatural thriller film based in the Hindi heartland of India. ‘Mahabharat fame Saurabh Raj Jain, Hiten Tejwani and ‘Lust Stories 2’ fame Tarun Khanna, also known as ‘Mahadev’ Popular stars like, are shining with their acting skills in this film. The film will hit theaters in early 2025.

After this we made ‘Detective Bumrah’ and ‘Chinta Mani’. Fans loved both these films equally. We are sure that ‘Baida’ will be liked by the theater audience, who are always looking for new and fresh content.

he/she further said that the cast of the film also includes ‘Detective Bumrah’ fame Manisha Rai, ‘Chaipatti’ and ‘Chinta Mani’ fame Shobhit Sujay, Siddharth Banerjee, Deepak Wadhwa, Akhlaq Ahmed Azad and Pradeep Kabra in important roles. The editing of the film has been done by Prateek Shetty, who had been the editor of notable films like ‘Kantara’ and ‘777 Charlie’.

Shooting of the film was also done in Gorakhpur

Interestingly, for the first time, concepts like sci-fi and time travel have been woven into a story based in the Hindi heartland, where films like romantic-comedies and political dramas are usually made. With a large portion shot near Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, the film reflects the real lifestyle of the region as well as its people. Bhojpuri, the most popular dialect of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, has been given a prominent place in this film.

The makers of ‘Baida’ had earlier revealed that local artisans and sculptors from around Gorakhpur were included in the art department of the film. Some part of the film has also been shot in Delhi.
