New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s young batsman Abhishek Sharma has been successful in making a place in the ICC rankings for the first time. This destructive left-handed batsman scored a brilliant century in the second T20 match against Zimbabwe. India defeated Zimbabwe by 100 runs on the basis of Abhishek’s brilliant century. Abhishek has entered the T20 batsmen rankings released by the ICC at number 75. he/she scored a century in the second international match of his/her career. At the same time, Rituraj Gaikwad has also got the reward of half-century. Rituraj has reached the top 10.

After a good performance in the ongoing T20 series in Zimbabwe, Ruturaj Gaikwad has reached the seventh position in the rankings. Suryakumar Yadav is in second place with 821 points. Australia’s Travis Head is at the top with 844 points. England’s Phil Salt is in third place with 797 points while Pakistan captain Babar Azam (755), Mohammad Rizwan (746) and Jos Buttler (716) follow him/her. Gaikwad, who scored an unbeaten 77 off 47 balls in the second T20, has moved up 13 places to seventh.

Rest for senior players

After failing to open the account in the first match, all-rounder Abhishek scored 100 runs in just 47 balls in the second match. Due to this innings, he/she made it to the rankings for the first time with 75th position.
