Censor board cuts John Abraham’s ‘Veda’, cuts 9 minutes of video and blurs some scenes


John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh’s film ‘Veda’ has been in the news for quite some time. The film is releasing in theatres on 15 August, but just a few days before that, the censor board has cut an important scene from it. The censor board had given the green signal to the release of the film after seeing the U/A certificate of ‘Veda’. Along with this, some changes were also suggested in the film. The makers were asked to delete those scenes which are controversial and change some dialogues. But now a 9-minute scene has been removed from the film. A lot of cuts have also been made. According to the report of ‘Bollywood Hungama’, the censor board had requested the makers to modify the 1 minute 16 second disclaimer and add a voiceover. Now Vedaa will be 2 hours 30 minutes long. The censor board had also asked to change the dialogue which was considered derogatory towards women and social identity. There was also an abuse in the film and that too was asked to be removed. According to the report, the 2 minute 16 second long hanging scene in ‘Veda’ has also been removed. Apart from this, there is a scene of tearing notes in the film and the censor board has blurred it.

These films will clash at the box office on 15 August

‘Veda’ also stars Abhishek Banerjee and Tamannaah Bhatia. This film will clash with Akshay Kumar and Fardeen Khan starrer ‘Khel Khel Mein’ at the box office. It also stars Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu and Amy Virk. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao’s ‘Stree 2’ will also clash with these two films. This film is also releasing in theatres on 15 August.
