CBSE Practical Exam: Practical exams will start with the new year, special guidelines of CBSE for 10th-12th.

The board practical exams of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for class 10th and 12th are scheduled to start from January 1, 2025. Like last year, written examinations will start from February 15. Class 12 board examinations will run from 15 February to 4 April. Class 10 exams will start from 15th February and continue till 18th March. On behalf of CBSE’s Examination Controller, Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, a letter has been sent to the principals and heads of all the schools and guidelines for practical and project/internal assessment.

The board has said that it should be ensured that the practical exams start from January 1 and information about the datesheet is given to the students and parents. The board has said that after the assessment, the marks of the students should be uploaded in the link. While uploading the marks the school principal should ensure that the correct marks are uploaded as no correction will be allowed later.

CBSE Class 12 practical exams should be taken by external examiners only. Schools will also have to ensure that only the examiners appointed by the exam board take the exam. Datesheet should be prepared after seeing the schedule of students in different activities. Students should give practicals as per the schedule, no second chance will be given to them.

Special instructions for CBSE Board Class 10th and 12th: Class 10th practical examinations and projects will be conducted by the schools themselves. No examiner will come from outside for this. Schools will have to arrange the practical answer sheets themselves. CBSE will not provide them.
CBSE Class 12th: Examiners will come from outside for some subjects. School teachers will help them. CBSE may also send an invigilator to monitor the examination.
