CBI got input from FBI and took action, 43 accused of cyber fraud arrested

New Delhi: Acting on inputs from the FBI and Interpol, the CBI has arrested 43 accused of cyber fraud. The agency raided seven places in Delhi, Gurugram and Noida. During this, the operation of a call center was found from DLF Cyber ​​City in Gurugram. It is alleged that cyber fraud was done from here with the citizens of America and other countries.Action under Operation Chakra-3
A CBI official said that this action was taken under Operation Chakra-3. The call center was operating here since 2022. Their networks were spread across many countries. The FBI and Interpol had given accurate inputs in the case. After this, the International Operations Division of the CBI took this action by registering a case under the relevant sections. Investigation revealed that this network of cyber fraud was being operated in many centers. There was a control center in Gurugram.

These evidences were seized from the spot
The officer said that during the raid, the accused involved in live cyber criminal activities were caught. Evidence has also been seized from the spot. The investigation team has seized 130 computer hard disks, 65 mobile phones, five laptops and other documents proving the crime. Electronic evidence has also been found in this. Along with this, other evidence including the exchange of money for fraud, call recordings, list of victims and transcripts made to target people have been recovered.

CBI said that the accused used to contact US and other nationals by hiding their identity. They used to trap them and ask them to click on pop-ups to download virus-infected software in their systems. When the system malfunctioned, they used to take money to fix it. This money was transferred to Hong Kong.
