CBI filed FIR in UGC-NET paper leak case, know which sections were imposed

New Delhi : The CBI registered a case late Thursday evening on suspicion of leakage of UGC-NET-2024 exam conducted by National Testing Agency NTA on June 18. A CBI official said that the CBI has currently registered an FIR against unknown accused under sections 120B, 420. In this case, a complaint was made to the CBI by the Secretary of the Department of Education, Government of India on June 20 itself. After which the CBI immediately registered an FIR in this matter. There is a possibility of paper leak in the case of the exam.

CBI registered an FIR and started investigation
The CBI said that in the complaint given by the Secretary of the Department of Education, Government of India, it has been told that on June 19, 2024, some inputs were given in the UGC NET paper case by the Indian Cyber ​​Crime Coordination Center (i4C) working under the Union Home Ministry in UGC. In which there was a possibility of tampering in the paper. In which there was a suspicion of paper leak. After this, this examination was canceled by the Ministry of Education on Wednesday. Also, it was decided to get the matter investigated by the CBI. Along with this, inputs were given to the CBI by the department. On the basis of which the CBI registered a case on Thursday and started investigation.

The exam was cancelled on the second day of the examThis exam was held in two shifts on 18 June across the country. i4C received some inputs regarding the leak of the paper of this exam. The cyber crime unit immediately informed UGC about it. From where the Ministry of Education was then informed about it. After this, first the exam was cancelled. The second decision was taken to get this case investigated by the CBI. Now the CBI will investigate this entire case. In which raids may start in some areas of the country in the coming days.
