Another way to join Navy is direct entry. For this, at least 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th are required. Also, 70% marks with PCM in 12th is required. It is also called Navy B.Tech Entry. Another means of entry for Permanent Commission is CDS (Combined Defense Services) exam. This happens after graduation. For this also one should have PCM and engineering degree in 12th.
