Baloch Yakjehti Committee has condemned the tragic injury of an infant by Pakistan’s paramilitary forces following increased violence in Chaghi district of Balochistan.

In a post on Twitter, BYC said, “In Balochistan’s Chaghi district, an infant became the target of paramilitary forces (FC) firing. “Many people were also injured as a result of firing on civilians.”

The paramilitary forces, known as the Frontier Corps (FC), have been accused of subjecting innocent border workers to severe torture and sanctions, with the situation showing no signs of abating.

The attack on the infant caught in the crossfire has sparked outrage among residents and human rights activists. BYC highlighted the brutality of the crackdown, saying, “Targeting children amounts to serious war crimes and genocide.”

The shooting is a stark reminder of the violence faced by the Baloch people, especially those living near sensitive border areas, who are often victims of random aggressive acts by security forces.

BYC further said, “According to local sources, the border has been closed and the FC has been subjecting innocent border workers to severe torture and restriction for weeks. Now they are firing directly at people, in which a small girl was targeted. This is a daily routine for the Baloch living near the border areas, who have to face the wrath of the security forces. Targeting children amounts to a serious war crime and genocide. Humanity should raise its voice for the protection of innocent children in Balochistan.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, two youths were abducted from Dera Bugti district of Balochistan, reports Balochistan Post.

According to Balochistan Post, local sources confirmed that the men, identified as Ashraf, son of Bhora Khan Bugti, and Pato Khan, son of Siraj Bugti, were killed by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in Sui area of ​​Dera Bugti on Sunday. Was taken into custody. ,
