By how many runs will India have to win the match to reach the semi-finals?


New Delhi. The equation of the semi-finals of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is changing with every match. Till now, the curtain has not been lifted on who will be the four teams playing in the next round of the tournament. What is the equation of semi-finals?
India has to play the last match against Australia while New Zealand team will play against Pakistan. It is necessary for both India and New Zealand to win their last league match. If India wins and New Zealand loses to Pakistan, it will be eliminated. If New Zealand wins the last match and India loses then it will be out. If both the teams lose the match then the decision will be based on net run rate. At present, New Zealand’s net run rate is 0.282 while India’s is 0.576.

ThatMatch has to be won by few runs
If India beats Australia in the last match and New Zealand also wins, then the difference in runs between the two will affect the net run rate. New Zealand is currently behind India in net run rate and if it wants to overtake India and go ahead, it will have to be 18 runs ahead of India. If India beats Australia by 10 runs, then New Zealand will have to beat Pakistan by 28 runs.
