Bus carrying junior artists of ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ overturns, 6 injured, shooting of the film halted


The shooting of Rishabh Shetty’s film ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has stopped. An accident has happened with the cast of the prequel of the superhit film of the year 2022. A bus carrying 20 junior artistes of the film has overturned in Udupi, Karnataka, injuring 6 artists. This incident happened on Sunday night, after which the injured are undergoing treatment in a nearby hospital. According to the report of our colleague ‘Times of India’, this incident took place near Jadkal in Udupi district near Kollur, Karnataka. The bus carrying 20 junior artists of the film was taking the artists after the shooting was over. This bus was going from Mudur to Kollur. When it reached Jadkal, the bus driver suddenly lost control, due to which the bus overturned. It is being told that 6 passengers have been seriously injured in this incident, who are undergoing treatment at Jadkal Mahalaxmi Clinic.

Police registered a case, investigation started

‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ is being shot in the coastal areas. Many local artists are involved in the shooting here. Kollur police have registered a case of accident and have started investigation.

‘Kantara’, made for Rs 16 crores, had earned Rs 400 crores.

‘Kanthara’ is originally a Kannada film. Rishabh Shetty is also the lead actor, director and producer of this film. The budget of the film, released in the year 2022, was Rs 16 crore and it had a worldwide gross of Rs 407.82 crore. The film was initially released only in Kannada, but then when its popularity increased, it was also released in other Indian languages ​​including Hindi. ‘Kantara’ had a net collection of Rs 309.64 crore in the country.
