Budget Expectations: The middle class hopes peeping out of the shoulder of Delhi elections, will the budget be completed?

New Delhi: Budget came, brought hopes. This time, the budget has come to the hopes, not the feet, but the chest has come. How much satisfaction the book-eating of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman can be found in the next few hours. But in an election rally, it is understood from the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that relief is guaranteed, just the announcement remains. PM Modi had said, “The grace of Goddess Lakshmi should remain on the poor and middle class.”

Prime Minister Modi indicated in the rally?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi campaigned in every election, but in a few legislative elections, he/she forwards his/her face. For example, in the Odisha assembly elections, he/she announced till the date of the BJP government’s oath. This time in the Delhi Assembly elections, the Prime Minister did not say on which day the BJP government will take oath, but the voters are leaving no stone unturned to convince them that they are guaranteed to fulfill the promises made to them. In such a situation, a day before the budget, the specialist of the Prime Minister’s mother Lakshmi’s grace is taking a lot of meaning.

Challenge to stop swing votes in Delhi

The large section of Delhi’s voters continues from here to there between the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. If the survey results and the opinion of experts are based on, then the share of such voters in Delhi is close to 15 percent who supports the BJP in the Lok Sabha, but stands firmly with you in the assembly. A large part of this 15 percent of the voters is of the middle class. The BJP has to prevent this middle class from turning into swing voters.

What can be announced on tax relief?

The greed for tax exemption always attracts the middle class. In every budget, some exemption is expected on tax, but often the hope is broken. This time the budget is coming only three days before the voting in the Delhi assembly elections. So will the Modi government and the BJP fulfill the expectation of the middle class this time to get out of exile of 32 years in Delhi? It has been four years since the new tax regime came. It is expected that the tax exemption limit, including standard deduction in the new tax regime, should be increased to Rs 10 lakh. There is also speculation that this time the end of the Old Tax Reseam should be announced. By doing this, the middle class does not have to face the displeasure, its only window is left- the announcement of satisfactory relief in the Old Tax Regime.
