Brother, I don’t even have a Thar… Badshah and his/her team termed the allegations of issuing traffic challans as false.

Two days ago, news came about famous rapper and singer Badshah that the traffic police has issued a challan to him/her in Gurugram. It was reported that while going to singer Karan Aujla’s concert, Badshah was driving on the wrong side of the road, with loud music playing in his/her Mahindra Thar SUV. Hence, the traffic police imposed a fine of ₹15,000 on him/her for negligence. But now the king has rejected these claims. he/she has said that neither he/she has any Thar nor was he/she driving that SUV that day nor was he/she in the Thar for which the challan was issued. Badshah has written on his/her Instagram story, ‘Brother, Thar is also there. Not with me, nor was I driving that day. I was being taken in a white Vellfire (Toyota), and we always drive with full responsibility, be it cars or games.

Badshah’s team issued a long statement

Apart from Badshah, his/her team has also issued a statement in the matter. It reads, ‘We would like to refute the incident of a traffic violation involving Badshah after the Karan Aujla concert on December 15, 2024. These are false allegations and reports defaming the King. These allege that Badshah was involved in traffic violations, particularly that he/she was driving on the wrong side of the road. We want to make it clear that these allegations are completely false. On the night of the concert, Badshah was traveling in a white Toyota Vellfire (HR 55 AU 3333), a vehicle owned by Bakshi Transport Services Pvt. Ltd. It was being driven by a licensed professional driver. Our team included a Toyota Vellfire and three Toyota Innova Crystas. Badshah was not driving any of these vehicles at any time during the alleged incident.

‘No challan was issued for any vehicle of our team’

The statement further said, ‘We deny the allegation of any involvement of Badshah or his/her team in the traffic violation case. Neither any of our vehicles was driven on the wrong side of the road nor was any fine imposed on any other vehicle belonging to Badshah or his/her team. We are fully cooperating in the official investigation in this matter. Whatever documents we have from our arrival and departure till our stay that evening are being made available to the investigating officer.
