Champions Trophy 2025 returned home before the Champions Trophy due to the death of Morne Morkel father of the Indian cricket team. The BCCI’s statement is yet to come back when he/she returned.

New Delhi. The Indian cricket team seems to see a strong shock before the start of the ICC Champions Trophy. In two days, Team India is going to play its first match and before that the team’s bowling coach Morne Morne Morkel has left the training camp and returned to his/her country. According to reports, former South African fast bowlers have returned to their house due to a personal emergency. According to the information, he/she has to return home due to his/her father’s death.

The Times of India shared information about Morne Morkel on his/her home from Dubai on Monday night. Dainik Jagran has told that Morkel has returned home due to his/her father’s death. In September last year, he/she was made the bowling coach of Team India. Morkel went to Dubai on Saturday 15 February with the Indian team. The ICC Champions Trophy on Sunday attended the team’s first training session before the start of 2025.

The bowling coach was not seen when the Indian team was doing their second training session on Monday 17 February. According to the report, soon after receiving the news of the father’s death, he/she left for South Africa at night. Now some information has not been shared with the Indian team about whether the bowling coach will be in the Champions Trophy. Only after the official statement of the BCCI, it will be known whether Morkel will return to join the team in the coming days.
